The Guests at the Mar Brasil Hotel have the opportunity to visit - located within its area - the House where poet Vinicius de Moraes lived with his Baiana wife, Gesse Gessy, from 1974 to 1980. The House still holds its original architecture, by Jamison Pedra and Silvio Robatto. Inside, you will find sculptures and paintings created in 1975 by Udo Knoff. The amoeba shaped swimming pool is surrounded by a mosaic flooring with Portuguese stone that still has Udo Knoff’s original drawings. In 1974, Vinicius de Moraes wrote the book "A CASA" ("THE HOUSE"), dedicating it to "A Gesse, my wife and friend, and to the workers who built the House where only the floor previously existed.". In 2000, the House was bought by the Mar Brasil Hotel and has been kept with its original architecture and details ever since. In addition to the facilities and the outdoor balcony over the sea, the House holds a Business Center, Vinicius de Moraes Suite, and 5 Executive Rooms.
